Simpson autograph

Jimmy Simpson was one of the most
popular riders of his time. Born in Birmingham
in 1898, he made his first TT appearance in 1922
riding a Scott in the Senior Race. His autograph
is framed with a picture of him lining up for
the 1934 Lightweight TT.
Jimmy was the first man to set 60mph,
70mph and 80mph laps of the TT course.
He won the 1934 Lightweight TT riding
a Rudge.
He died in December 1981.
