Bob McIntyre is captured
in time on these clocks.
Bob McIntyre became the first rider to lap the
Isle of Man course at 100mph. In the 1957 Senior
TT his second lap was at an average speed of 101.03mph.
Earlier that week, McIntyre had also won the Junior
TT on a 350 Gilera making him, at that time, one
of only 5 others riders since 1931 who had scored
the Senior-Junior double in the same year.
The photo shows Bob McIntyre on the Gilera during
that record breaking lap.
