Seven-time US Team member Jeff Ward battles 1985 World Champion Dave Thorpe at the Motocross des Nations in Gaildorf, Germany. Wardy, backed by team-mates David Bailey and Ron Lechien, took overall victory but England's Dave Thorpe and Dutchman Kees van der Ven scored race wins. This fantastic painting captures the hard-fought competition and glory that is the annual Motocross des Nations.
